Let's Get ARTSY - November 9, 2008

NEW:

That pixel art gallery is new! It is my new favorite medium, so expect many more pixel arts in future updates. I also brought back the mini me gallery so that I could keep my art page even (and I got a good response when I put it up on the old layout). There's nothing new there, but it's been gone all year, so maybe you'd like to take another peek at it. :)

Finally Some Meat - October 17, 2008

NEW:

First, to go along with all the goodies above, check out my Photostream on Flickr. Taking all those progress pictures of my plants over the summer got me interested in taking close-up pictures of insects and plants. I spend at least 30 minutes outside everyday looking for cool subjects to capture, so I hope you enjoy my photography.

And as of writing this, the MOTHER 3 Fan Translation is super close to being released, though it'll probably already be out by the time you read this. I am forever grateful to the translation team for all the hard work they have done over the past 2 years. MOTHER 3 is finally in English! I encourage you to download the patch and play to your heart's content. From what I remember of playing it in Japanese over 2 years ago, you're sure to love it.

Food and Paint and FLOWERS - September 18, 2008

NEW:

Quite a good mix this time. Juuuust when I thought I wouldn't get anymore good pictures of the garden, my hibiscus tree decided to be all productive. It's covered in aphids, though, but I'm letting the ladybugs take care of them.

This Update's Theme: Cheese - September 2, 2008

NEW:

First update since May that hasn't included pictures from the garden. It's kind of sad, really. The growing season is nearly over. :( But acorns are on the way! They're one of my favorite things about Autumn. I have no idea why I love them so much, but I think it's because they look like they're wearing cute little hats. :3 Plus, they represent the first days of colder weather, which is something I always look forward to, down in my hot, humid environment.

Anyway, I have another recipe planned out, I just need to buy ingredients and take a picture first. I'm also participating in an art swap, so I'll hopefully have that finished by the next update, whenever that will be.

August is Too Green - August 20, 2008

NEW:

Hannah was right about gardens in August: there is no color variety, everything is just boring green. The eye-catching flowers did their blooming in June and July, and all that's left now are the tomatoes that I guess I planted pretty late. Also, yesterday's tropical storm broke my biggest sunflower near the bottom of its stem, so that's gone now. :S

Ah well. I can sorta sense the seasonal change coming. Can't wait 'til the acorns start falling!

Curbing Boredom by UPDATING - August 4, 2008

NEW:

A sparse update, but I finally put up a new recipe! Got a few art ideas in mind, but I need to find some better-quality watercolor paper first. I've been using acrylic paper in the meantime, but the result is pretty awful.

Two Weeks Worth of Rain and Thunder - July 23, 2008

NEW:

Been a while, eh? I've been holding off because I wanted to include a bit of art with each update, but motivation is lacking and my garden continues to flourish, so I figured I'd get those pictures up since a few of the sunflowers in today's update have already left this earth. And many of my beefsteak tomatoes have started to ripen, but they're very ugly compared to the beauties you find in supermarkets, so I haven't been taking very many pictures of them. I have a pest problem. :(

I hope to have some art in the next update. SimonBob requested something a week ago and I still haven't done it. OOPS.
